welcome to memepipe

a family-and-friends media server running on viewer support

1get an invite

Ask the admin for a Wizarr invite link. It looks like this:

https://wizarr.memepipe.tv/j/abc123

Click it, pick a username, and your accounts on Plex and Jellyfin are created automatically. You can start watching within a minute.

2install a client

memepipe runs both Plex and Jellyfin. Pick whichever app you like best on the device you actually watch on — the library is the same on both sides.

Apple TV
Infuse
best-in-class, paid after trial
Apple TV
Plex / Jellyfin
official apps, free
iPhone / iPad
Infuse / Plex / Jellyfin

Android TV / Shield
Kodi + Jellyfin plugin
Nvidia Shield is the gold standard
Android / Fire
Plex / Jellyfin / Kodi
avoid first-gen Fire sticks — they can't play most files
Roku

Smart TVs

Windows / Mac / Linux
Jellyfin Media Player

Avoid first-generation Fire Sticks. They can't play 95% of the files on the server and will trigger expensive transcoding that slows everything down for everyone. Nvidia Shield TV or Shield TV Pro are the most reliable options.

3request new content

Can't find the movie or show you want? Use Jellyseerr to request it:

Open Jellyseerr →

Log in with your Plex or Jellyfin account (created in step 1). Search for the title, click Request. If it's available on a tracker, the server will download it, usually within an hour. You'll get a notification when it's ready to watch.

4support the server

memepipe runs on a dedicated server in Amsterdam that costs ~$68/month. It's funded by viewers who subscribe to the admin's Twitch channel. If you watch here regularly, please subscribe.

Subscribe on Twitch →

One Tier 1 Twitch sub ($5) covers 7% of a month's server bill. At a dozen subs, the lights stay on. Sub through Twitch Prime for free with your Amazon Prime membership if you have one.

5quality settings

To avoid stuttering and transcoding:

6check server status

Is the server down? Before DM'ing the admin, check the status page:

If everything's green and you still can't connect, it's probably on your end — check your own internet first. If things are red, the admin already knows and is working on it.
